ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Words have always held a special kind of magic for me. I have a deep passion for poetry, storytelling and the beauty and power of words, and I love the way a few carefully chosen words can spark an emotion, paint a picture or transport you somewhere completely new.
I have been a teacher for over twenty years, with a career that has taken me around the world. I have had the privilege of teaching in international schools across the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia, working with children from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
I love creating poems and stories that make people think, dream and see the world from a different perspective. I believe that reading and creative writing can be powerful tools for imagination, self-expression and emotional wellbeing, giving people a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings and, sometimes, simply escape into another world. Ultimately, I hope my writing inspires young readers to fall in love with words, find their own voices and discover the endless possibilities that live within the pages of a book.

REPRESENTATION MATTERS!
'It's important to have diverse books because there is someone out there who feels like they're not being represented. Everyone should be able to say that they're a hero in their story.'
Zoraida Cordova
'I think it's important for people to see themselves in books, and I think it's important to see other people in books.'
